I love that line from Chinatown: "Politicians, ugly buildings and whores all get respectable if they last long enough." Follow your bliss and others will catch up. Or not. But at least you'll have exposed under-appreciated lines of enquiry and be making a worthwhile contribution to Shakespearean studies.
Have you considered sending those pieces to one of the many academic periodicals that deal with English lit and Shakespeare? They'd probably give them a fighting chance, at least.
Hi David. Thank you for the question. Yes, but no one reads them! For instance, I have articles in the journals "Shakespeare" and "Shakespeare Survey" - and they've gotten no meaningful attention or engagement. Appreciate your thoughts. John

Hahaha. Nice line. Thank you Keith! Really appreciate your support

May you have better luck here than the so called free press.
Thanks Michael! Did try them - and almost broke through (they expressed interest in one piece). But then things fell through, sigh.
Sigh indeed!
Thanks Joe. Going to try a new, independent path.
